Disagreement, Dispute, Conflict, Misunderstanding. These are part of the world in which we live and they need to be resolved before they grow into something worse. Our litigation group specializes in helping our clients reach resolution in these matters. Whether the dispute you face is one of national or international proportions or is simply between family members or neighbors, we can help you through the process with skill, experience, and understanding. Our experience extends to criminal and civil cases, to business and family disputes, to civil rights and personal injury cases. We can handle just about any dispute that requires an attorney's assistance.
We use all of the ethical tools available to resolve such matters in a way that maximizes the final result for our clients while keeping costs to a minimum. These tools include alternate dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration when it appears that the matter can be settled or resolved with a reasonable effort. One the other hand, our tools also include full-blown litigation in state and federal court, whether in Utah or anywhere else across the country.

If the trial of a matter does not fully resolve the issues, we have the experience to pursue the matter at the appellate court level. This includes briefing and arguing cases in the Utah Supreme Court and in the federal Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

To demonstrate our commitment to resolve cases as expeditiously as possible, we routinely secure summary judgment on behalf of our clients. Recent representative examples: multiple plaintiff employment law case, breach of contract case involving a multilevel marketing company and its distributor, and a contentious real estate dispute.
Distributor case against a multilevel marketing company settled for seven figures.
Represented a disinherited inmate, secured verdict giving him share of his deceased mother's land holdings.
Representing a corporate defendant, persuaded judge to reconsider his prior ruling granting summary judgment to plaintiff. Plaintiff ultimately dismissed its case with prejudice.
