Allison G. Belnap joined Fillmore Spencer as an associate attorney in 2011. Ms. Belnap graduated magna cum laude from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where she served as the Managing Editor of Publication and an Associate Editor for the BYU Law Review. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre for Young Audiences, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. In law school, Ms. Belnap received the 2011 National Association of Women Lawyers Award and an Honorable Mention from the 2011 John S. Welch Award for Outstanding Legal Writing. Additionally, she won Best Oralist and was runner-up for the Best Appellate Brief in the 2009 Moot Court Competition. She also won second place in the 2009 Woody Deem Trial Advocacy Competition. She served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses including Legal Writing, Advocacy, Legal Interviewing and Counseling, and Mediation. Ms. Belnap participated in the externship program at BYU, and had the opportunity to work for Holland & Hart in Salt Lake City and for the Office of General Counsel for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In addition to her law practice, Ms. Belnap is a mediator on the Utah state court roster and an adjunct faculty member for the Legal Interviewing and Counseling course at the J. Reuben Clark Law School. Ms. Belnap’s practice focuses on Corporate Law, Corporate Litigation, Family Law, Mediation, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and general transactional matters. She is a member of Women Lawyers of Utah, National Association of Women Lawyers, American Inns of Court, The American Bar Association, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. She currently serves on the Provo City Arts Council and as a member of the Heber Valley Rotary Club.
