Kara H. North received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University in 2007. While attending UVU, she was a member of the Business Ethics competition team and was also the recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, the Female Student in Business Award, and the Francis J. Kennedy Music Scholarship. Upon graduating from UVU, Ms. North attended her first year of law school at Gonzaga University, where she was a merit scholarship recipient and was invited to be a member of Gonzaga’s Law Review, but chose instead to return to Utah and continue her legal education at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where she was a senior staff member of the Journal of Law and Family Studies. She was also a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court team that received a Top 10 award at the regional competition. Ms. North began her legal career with the largest litigation defense firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, primarily working in the areas of insurance, products liability, and transportation. Now an associate at Fillmore Spencer, LLC, her practice is focused on general civil litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense. Ms. North is licensed to practice law in Utah and Nevada, and is a member of Utah Association for Justice, Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, J. Reuben Clarke Law Society, Women Lawyers of Utah, Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar.
