Mark D. Stubbs graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in University Studies, Political Science, Spanish and Sociology. He graduated cum laude from J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1977, where he was an editor for the Legal Studies Program. During law school Mr. Stubbs served as an extern with J. Clifford Wallace, Judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Diego, California. Mr. Stubbs practiced for three years in Phoenix, Arizona with the law firm of Ryley, Carlock & Applewhite. In 1980, Mr. Stubbs joined the May Law Firm in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he became the Managing Partner. His practice has included a wide range of business matters including international business transactions for clients, business organization and tranactional contract drafting, litigation, mediation and arbitration of contract disputes, intellectual property issues, employment suits, and administrative agency matters. Mr. Stubbs has prevailed on a number of appellate matters in the Idaho and Utah Supreme Courts. In 1990 Mr. Stubbs was elected to the Idaho State House of Representatives and served until 1998. After leaving the State Legislature, Mr. Stubbs served as an executive officer of TEAM America Inc., a professional employer organization. For ten years he served as a member of the Board of Litigation of the Mountain States Legal Foundation in Denver, CO, and is a master of the bench in the A. Sherman Christensen American Inn of Court I. Mr. Stubbs chairs our firm's litigation department.
