Randall K. Spencer graduated cum laude in Japanese Studies from Brigham Young University in 1991. While studying Japanese, he worked as a Japanese Tour Guide at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, Hawaii and on a tourist yacht in Southeast Alaska. Mr. Spencer subsequently enrolled at the J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he excelled in the moot court program and won the Western Regional Championship of the Jessop Moot Court Competition, and went on to compete in the world championship in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 1994 in the Order of the Barristers. After law school, he clerked for a trial court judge before accepting a position at the Utah County Public Defenders Association, where he successfully tried to a jury a number of high profile cases which drew national attention. Mr. Spencer served as the assistant director at the public defenders office for two years before entering private practice. While he continues his criminal defense practice, he primarily spends time helping people receive fair compensation for injuries and losses sustained in various accidents. He continues to litigate many court cases in a variety of federal and state matters. Mr. Spencer served as a bar examiner for the Utah State Bar Exam for seven years, and as the President of the Central Utah Bar Association in 2005. He was named one of Utah’s Legal Elite 2006 in Utah Business Magazine in the Civil Trial practice area. He is also a barrister in the A. Sherman Christensen American Inn of Court I.
