Scott D. Preston is primarily involved in general civil and commercial litigation emphasizing construction defect and real estate litigation, intellectual property, employment law and personal injury. Mr. Preston received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University in 1999. In 2002, he graduated from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he served as a manager and editor for the Oregon State Bar Intellectual Property Newsletter. Mr. Preston spent the first four years of his practice in Oregon, where his practice focused on complex construction defects litigation, employment law, intellectual property law and personal injury law. In this capacity, Mr. Preston represented several insurance companies, which gives him unique insight on personal injury litigation. Mr. Preston returned to Utah in 2006 and practiced with the firm Hill Johnson & Schmutz before joining Fillmore Spencer in October 2007. Mr. Preston speaks Czech and Slovak.
