John-David Anderson has more than a decade of experience practicing intellectual property, commercial, and corporate law, including corporate financing. Having spent the majority of that time working directly for a well-known technology company, John-David understands the legal needs and expectations of growing business clients.
John-David has been an active participant in building the legal foundation for a giant in the Silicon Slopes, and he is comfortable talking with engineers about technical needs and capabilities as well as coordinating with other lawyers, accountants, and bankers about financing and managing an enterprise in both US and European corporate contexts. He is familiar with the latest in modern internet companies, including Saas, laaS, cloud computing, and the nuances and trends related to open source code publishing and usage.
Although born in Utah, John-David spent his formative years in Alaska. After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry, he worked in Alaska at a boutique consulting firm that specialized in oil production services. John-David graduated from J. Reuben Clarke law school in 2010 and moved directly in-house.
